I have always had a very vivid imagination, perhaps because I grew up shy and never made many friends. I never put it to good use, however until much later in life.

I never really started writing until my grandmother died in 1992. When that happened, it unleashed a flood of emotions in me that I'd never had to deal with before. I'd always just kept my emotions bottled up until then, and never understood how to deal with them.

When my grandmother died, I had no idea how to deal with all these emotions, so I began to write them down. Mostly under the guise of poetry, then unleashing my imagination on stories.

I'm also an active participant at WordTrip.com. Writer's Digest calls it one of the best writer's sites on the web.  The link there is also on the side. Come by and check it out.
